Emberwold
An island off the human coast, and the only door into the world. Everyone who arrives, arrives here — and the Guild’s clerk signs your licence on its sand.
A card-battle hunt in one open world
A Hunter is a licensed killer of monsters. Earn your licence on Emberwold — then go wherever the contract sends you.

The hunt
No battle screen and no loading: a pack is met in the world, and the fight is a hand of cards played on the ground around you.
Every blow, guard and spell is a card: your class’s, the ones your weapons bring and the ones the hunt gives you. Build the deck — the order you play it in wins the fight.
A blow lands on a part, and a broken part takes away what it did: break the legs and the beast is crippled, the head and it fights blind, the arms and it is disarmed.
There is no battle screen. Packs roam the land and a fight is fought where you meet them — every hunter nearby sees it, and can join it.
Every twenty minutes the dead climb the Wall in the far west. The hunters on its crown hold it together — and if it falls, all of Ironmarch lives under its dread.
Take your deck to the hunters’ own island and fight each other, turn against turn. Rank counts there, never level.
The Guild pays in cut stones. Trade them face to face with another hunter, put a price on the Exchange, keep the rest at the bank in every town.
Seen in the game
Every picture here is the game itself, photographed as it runs — no painting over it.
The world
Emberwold, Ironmarch and the sea between them are one world, streamed as you walk it. The packet sails you from the island’s harbour to the mainland, and nothing loads.

Levels 1–5
An island off the human coast, and the only door into the world. Everyone who arrives, arrives here — and the Guild’s clerk signs your licence on its sand.

Levels 5–50
The largest land in the world: stone-walled cities, wide roads, farms to the horizon and forges burning day and night. In the far west stands the Wall.

Rank, not level
The island where hunters fight hunters — dark, scarred and fought over, and neutral ground between the guilds.
Paths
Each class splits into paths, and every path fights a different fight — with its own cards, its own gear and its own way to break a body.
Steel, guard and the ground the fight stands on.
Chooses where the blade lands — the one hunter who aims at the part they want. One sword cuts harder; two sweep wider.
Changes the ground itself: cracks to a cave-in, ramparts, spikes and mud — and the place a fight is born on decides how.
Turns the body into a beast part by part — the wolf, the bear, the phoenix — until the full form at level 40.
Mana builds orbs; orbs strike. Every Mage keeps a line of orbs circling their feet, and the weather and the hour give their elements.
At each round’s end a flame eats the orb behind it into a hotter one — white, blue, violet, star-white — and a spell burns with the hottest.
Every orb comes in frozen, and every frozen orb spent breaks over the enemy: ice chills, frostfire stuns, glare blinds.
Life skills
Strike a seam, fell a tree, forge at the anvil, cast at a shoal, cook at the pot, cut herbs, farm a plot, bind a wound — and ride, swim and sail. Each climbs to level fifty, and the gear you fight in is made, never bought.
